Windhoek → Sesriem
~300 km ~4–5 hrs

Early departure from Windhoek. Scenic stops at Rehoboth and Maltahöhe for gravel road landscapes. Afternoon soft light at Sesriem Canyon, then sunset over the dunes — tripod and polarizer recommended for dramatic shadows.

~65 km within park Gates open 4:30 AM

The ultimate Namib Desert photography day. Pre-dawn departure to Big Daddy dune for epic sunrise wide-angle shots. Then Deadvlei in early soft light — dead camel thorn trees against the white clay pan. Optional Hiddenvlei for quiet landscapes.

Optional sunrise hot air balloon over the dunes (book in advance) for panoramic golden light shots. Alternatively, early morning wildlife drive for oryx, springbok, and ostrich in soft light. Scenic stops at Gamsberg Pass before returning to Windhoek.
